Youth Sidewalk Chalk Contest for APA Youth

The Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (OAPIA) would like to invite children aged 8 to 18 years old to take part in its 3rd Asian & Pacific American (APA) Youth Sidewalk Chalk Contest on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 12 to 3 pm at the Historical Society of Washington, DC (formerly known as the “City Museum”) at 801 K Street, NW.

This contest is part of OAPIA’s May APA Heritage Month activities. The purpose of the contest is to provide APA youths in the metro DC area an opportunity to express their creativity and celebrate their APA heritage. This year’s theme is “Chalking Chinatown”. Participation is free but space is limited and registration is required.

Chalk, snack and water will be provided to all participants.
