Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affair’s Announces its
“Share a Smile; Give a Toy” Toy Drive
The Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (OAPIA) is proud to announce its second annual “Share a Smile; Give a Toy” drive for underprivileged children in the District of Columbia’s API community.
OAPIA is currently collecting toys for children from ages 3 to 16 years old at OAPIA’s office located at 441 4th Street, NW 721 North Washington, DC 20001. If you or your organization would like to donate toys, stop by our office Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
“Along with providing resources to APIs in the District, our office is proud to engage the community and give back to its children,” said OAPIA’s Director Soohyun Julie Koo. “With generous donations from community members and sponsors, OAPIA gave away over 200 toys to API community members last year. This year, we hope to reach even more children with your help.”
OAPIA will hold a “Distributing Smiles” event to distribute toys to community members and community-based organizations on December 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the OAPIA office. For more information, please contact Dory Peters at Dory.Peters@dc.gov or (202) 727-3120.
