OP and OAPIA Announce the Release of the Chinatown Cultural Development Strategy (CCDS) Draft Plan

The Office of Planning (OP) and the Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (OAPIA) announce the release of the English and Chinese versions of the Chinatown Cultural Development Strategy (CCDS) Draft Plan. The public review and comment period begins July 1 until August 7, 2009. 

The Mayor’s Public Hearing is schedule on August 5th, 6:30 pm at the Chinatown Cultural Community Center located at 616 H St. NW 2nd floor Washington DC 20001.

Community members may download the complete document from OAPIA and OP's website or email thor.nelson@dc.gov to request for a print copy.

 CCDS is a joint project between the Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (OAPIA) and Office of Planning (OP) to provide strategies to help reposition Chinatown as the region’s top destination for Chinese/Asian cultural businesses, programs, services, events and festivals.
