(Washington, DC) CFSA invites you to attend a series of public meetings exploring opportunities for restructuring the public-private partnership to achieve desired outcomes and performance expectations.
CFSA released a Request for Information (RFI) in October 2006 for a lead agency to provide comprehensive services for children in out-of-home care. Comments received in response to the RFI suggested that CFSA re-engage in a dialogue with current providers and other stakeholders. This convening is in direct response to this feedback.
Results sought
- Shared vision—and ultimately shared ownership with service providers—of desired child welfare system outcomes, including LaShawn requirements for the District of Columbia’s child welfare system and federal outcomes and performance expectations;
- Identification of current strengths to be maintained in a future procurement;
- Identification of current challenges to achieving successful outcomes; and
- Recommendations for core elements of a redesigned system that help us achieve our shared performance expectations
