The Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure has begun inquiries into the qualifications of Judges Brook Hedge and Lee F. Satterfield of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Judges Hedge and Satterfield are candidates for reappointment as Associate Judges upon the expiration of their terms on October 8, 2007.

The Commission hereby requests members of the bar, litigants, interested organizations, and members of the public to submit any information bearing on the qualifications of Judges Hedge and Satterfield which it is believed will aid the Commission. The identity of any person submitting material is confidential unless expressly authorized by the person submitting the information.

The cooperation of the community at an early stage will greatly aid the Commission in fulfilling its responsibilities. The Commission must submit its evaluation reports concerning Judges Hedge and Satterfield to the President by August 8, 2007.

Any person or organization wishing to submit information to the Commission should do so no later than July 2, 2007. All communications are to be addressed to:
