Serve DC Offers Free Service Project Planning Class

Serve DC, The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism, is proud to offer free service project planning classes for the general public. Any individual or group interested in learning the basics of planning a service project is welcome to attend. The session will explore project design, volunteer recruitment and outreach strategies. At the end of the session participants will be able to more effectively: 

  • Define the Project Scope
  • Create a Project Planning Team
  • Select a Project
  • Plan the Project
  • Recruit Volunteers
  • Conduct Budget & Resource Development
  • Engage the Media
  • Implement the Project
  • Sustain Service

Classes will be offered on November 19, December 2 and December 16 at One Judiciary Square located at 441 4th Street, NW in Room 1112 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm (enter the South Side of the 11th floor of the building).
