Serve To Offer Service Project Planning and Volunteer Mobilization Training

Just in time for Global Youth Service Day 2009, Serve DC – The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism in partnership with Youth Service America presents a free training about  “Service Project Planning and Volunteer Mobilization” on Thursday, April 2, 2009. Join DC youth practitioners, educators, and national service program representatives in learning successful development and implementation of Global Youth Service Day projects. Participants will learn about resources and strategies for securing community partners, integrating service-learning into projects, resource development, and media relations. This session will also give attendees the opportunity to meet local practitioners and share best practices.

The training will be held at One Judiciary Square, located at 441 4th St, NW, in the Old Council Chambers room from 9:30am - 11:30am on April 2, 2009.
