The District of Columbia is in need of hundreds of volunteers over the next several weeks to assist with the very important H1N1 Mass Vaccination Clinics. Please feel free to pass this information on to any and all groups you feel may be interested. Common questions we are receiving from potential participants are answered here:
- Is there parking or metro nearby? Yes, in most locations; check www.wmata.com
- What should I wear? Comfortable attire, you will be provided a volunteer vest.
- Do I need special medical skills? No, but if you have any, please let us know.
- What if I’m not available for the entire shift? 5-9 pm (weekdays) and 8-4 pm (weekend) shifts are still very helpful; we need to get you trained and in-place quickly at the beginning of each shift.
- Will food be provided? Lunch and water will be provided. Volunteers are advised to bring snacks.
We can’t bury our heads in the sand!
We must protect our children and those who are most vulnerable.
