Serve DC Now Accepting Nominations for the Mayor’s One City Community Service Award

Serve DC – The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism is now accepting applications for the Mayor’s One City Community Service Award, an annual honor intended to recognize, reward and encourage activities that make or have a significant impact on community needs in the District of Columbia.

Nominees must be District residents who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to service and/or volunteerism, and award categories include: Community Service, National Service, Emergency Preparedness and Public Safety, Education, Youth, and HIV/AIDS Advocacy.

The nomination deadlines had been extended, and all applications must be received by 5:00pm on Friday, October 28, 2011. For more information or to download an application, please visit the Mayor’s One City Community Service Award online or contact Carly Skidmore.
