The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, is proud to bring back DC Grooves, which adds a breathtaking vigor to Washington's “Indian Summer,” as the city’s most spectacular free evening outdoor concert series featuring three Fridays of incredible performances from world renowned and local artists.
This year’s series was headlined by the legendary multi-platinum artists Ashford and Simpson, the kings of “old school” funk and soul, the Commodores, and one of the most gifted artists of our time “Latin sensation” Jon Secada. The Arts Commission invites all to come out and enjoy three spectacular evenings Friday, September 5, 12 and 19 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Woodrow Wilson Plaza at the Ronald Regan Building and International Trade Center.
On September 19 DC Grooves culminates, with a Hispanic Heritage Month special performance featuring Latin superstar Jon Secada. Sit back and be wooed by Secada’s silky smooth voice as he performs pop favorites such as Get on Your Feet, Just Another Day and Angel.
