The Marine Corps Marathon will be held this Sunday, October 26 2008. The race begins at 8 am in Arlington, Virginia; then crosses the Potomac River into the District. The Metropolitian Police Department and the US Park Police will close numerous streets along the race route in the District between 4 am and 1:30 pm.
Due to the marathon route, more than 30,000 runners, volunteers and spectators are expected to use the Metrorail system to get to the race. For more information please visit the following:
