(Washington, DC) - The District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) will convene an Emergency Preparedness for Business Conference, 9 am – 4 pm, April 23, 2009, at the Barbara Jordan Conference Center/Kaiser Family Foundation, 1330 G Street, NW.
The conference will bring together business leaders along with District and federal officials to discuss topics including insurance coverage; securing data and technology; protecting staff and customers; and the federal assistance process.
Featured speakers will include HSEMA director Darrell Darnell; Eugene Cornelius, Jr., acting regional administrator for Region III of the US Small Business Administration; Carolyn Gorman, vice president at the Insurance Information Institute; and Scott Young, vice president and chief operating officer at Irides, an Arlington, VA-based managed services firm.
