Washington, DC) Beginning Monday, February 24, Mayor Anthony A. Williams and the District's Emergency Management Agency will sponsor a series of neighborhood-based emergency preparedness meetings to answer questions about how residents can protect themselves in case of a major disaster.
The meetings are intended to address citizens' immediate concerns regarding potential terrorist attacks and allow citizens the opportunity to provide input on their individual neighborhood's emergency management plans. At the meetings, residents will also be able to sign up to volunteer with the District's Citizen Corps.
