District employees enrolled in the federal health benefits still have time to take advantage of the improved dental/vision benefits available to them as the District's 2007 Open Enrollment Season has been extended to Thursday, December 14, 2006.

For more information on the new vision/dental benefits, please visit the US Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) FED VIP Web Site. Eligible District employees must enroll in this vision/dental plan online.

District employees elgible for federal benefits can still make changes to their healthcare plan as well through paper forms available through their agency's HR Advisor or through the DC Office of Personnel Benefits Office at 441 4th Street, NW, Suite 340 North through 5:30 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2006. 

Again, employees elgible for federal benefits cannot elect the improved federal dental/vision benefit through the paper forms and must visit the FED VIP Web site.

To learn more about the federal health plans, visit OPM’s Web site. While that site states the federal Open Enrollment period is over, eligible District employees will have until December 14, 2006 to enroll.
