District Government Will Remain Open Tuesday
Managers Are Asked To Use Discretion In Allowing Employees to Leave Early for Emergencies

(Washington, DC) The Executive Office of the Mayor and the Office of the City Administrator have declared that the Government of the District of Columbia will remain operational and employees are expected to complete their normal tours of duty on Tuesday, February 13, 2007.

The decision was made after a report from the National Weather Service forecasted that icy conditions were not expected cause major problems in the District until after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

However, directors, managers and supervisors are encouraged to use discretion in allowing employees to leave early for emergency situations.

Any future delays and/or closings will be announced through the local media.
