(Washington, DC) The DC Department of Human Resources, formerly the Office of Personnel, is proud to announce it will offer a new, expanded dental insurance benefit for you and your family beginning in Fall 2007.

DCHR was originally scheduled to roll out the new option in May 2007, as previously announced, but technology limitations as the District continues to improve its IT infrastructure are forcing the implementation date to shift until Fall 2007.

The new CIGNA Dental PPO will let you visit any licensed dentist in or out of its Preferred Provider network. The CIGNA Dental PPO covers most preventive procedures at a reasonable cost or at no cost to you. Referrals are no longer required to see a specialist.

DCHR will inform all District Government employees as soon as possible regarding the upcoming Open Enrollment Period to elect this benefit beginning in Fall 2007.
