The deadline for District employees to make their benefit elections is just a few days away and the DC Department of Human Resources (DCHR) is encouraging all employees to register for Employee Self Service or use the DCPS Open Enrollment System at www.dchr.dc.gov or speak to their agency's Human Resource Advisor to elect their benefit plans.
The 2008 Open Enrollment period ends December 12. This is the only time District employees are able to make most benefit elections, modify coverage categories, and make certain that their selections meet their needs. DCHR is conducting a Positive Enrollment for the 2008 season, meaning that all District employees are strongly encouraged to review their benefit elections and personal information, even if they want to maintain the same elections.
DCHR will have the Open Enrollment Center open on Wednesday, December 12 from 8 am to 7 pm at One Judiciary Square, 441 4th Street NW.
DC Public Schools employees can also visit the Open Enrollment Center at Bell Multicultural/Lincoln Middle School
at 3101 16th Street, NW from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday, December 8 to get information on benefit plans.
By using the Employee Self Service (ESS) system, DCHR hopes to achieve a higher level of accuracy for its employees and their families. To register, please visit www.dchr.dc.gov or visit the Open Enrollment Center.
You may also call DCHR’s HR Answers customer service center at (202) 442-9700 for more information.
