The 2008 Open Enrollment Period for District employees to make benefit elections is now closed. The DC Department of Human Resources (DCHR) encourages any employees with questions regarding their elections to call the HR Answers line at (202) 442-9700. You can review your elections using Employees Self Service (ESS) at dchr.dc.gov.

ESS is only available on District computers and cannot be accessed from home or any computer outside of the District network. DCHR thanks all District employees who used ESS to review their benefit elections and personal information to ensure employee and dependent data is accurate.

More than 10,000 employees are now registered to use the online ESS system and DCHR encourages employees to continue to use the system to review and update their personal information throughout the year. This positive enrollment was critical as DCHR works to ensure the best quality customer service as well as the best benefit options available to employees and their families.
