The DC Department of Human Resources announces new rules guiding the Mandatory Drug and Alcohol Testing of Employee who Serve Children and Youth (Policy) for the purpose of informing covered employees of the requirements of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Program for Safety-Sensitive Positions. It is also to allow each covered employee one opportunity to seek treatment prior to testing if they have a drug or alcohol problem.
The new rules are contained in Chapter 39, Issuance 1 of the District Personnel Manual.
