(Washington, DC) The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) Office of the Chief Tenant Advocate is sponsoring a Tenant Forum in Ward 3. Four one-hour sessions will help Ward 3 tenants understand their rights as tenants and guide them in understanding and navigating important laws, regulations and processes. Sessions will include:
- What Is a Tenant Petition and How Do You Complete It?
- The New Rent Control Law: What You Need to Know
- Overview: Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act
- How to Get the Most From Your Housing Inspections
Additionally, attorneys will be available onsite to provide free legal consultation for tenants.
