(Washington, DC) The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs will be closed on Saturday, December 23 in observance of Christmas Day and Saturday, December 30 in observance of New Year's Day.
The days for Christmas and New Year's are official public holidays in the District. This year both holidays fall on a Monday. Since DCRA's Permit Center and Homeowners Center have Saturday hours, the agency will also be closed on the two Saturdays preceding these holidays on December 23 and 30.
DCRA will reopen for business on Tuesday, December 26 at 8:15 am. Saturday hours will resume on January 6, 2007, from 9 am to 1 pm.
Note: In September, DCRA introduced expanded hours at its Permit Center and Homeowners Center: 8:30 am to 8:00 pm on Thursdays and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. View the expanded online Permits section.
