(Washington, DC) The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) will be closed on Saturday, January 13, and Monday, January 15, 2007, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is an official public holiday in the District. Since DCRA's Permit Center and Homeowners Center have Saturday hours, the agency closes on the Saturday preceding public holidays.

DCRA will reopen for business on Tuesday, January 16 at 8:30 am. Saturday hours will resume on January 20 from 9 am to 1 pm.

Note: In September 2006, DCRA introduced expanded hours at its Permit Center and Homeowners Center: 8:30 am to 8 pm on Thursdays and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. DCRA also unveiled an expanded online Permit section.
