DCRA Office of the Tenant Advocate Announces Tenant Advisory Council Meeting

(Washington, DC) The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) Office of the Tenant Advocate announces the April meeting of the Tenant Advisory Council (TAC).

The TAC reviews the progress of the Office of the Tenant Advocate as it fulfills its mandate and makes recommendations to improve services.

Members of the TAC are appointed by the Mayor and represent each ward in the District.

Thursday, April 12, 2007,  7:00 to 8:30 pm

Where

People’s Media Café at Al Fishway,  4132 Georgia Avenue,  NW (near Taylor and Upshur Streets, NW)

To attend the event, take Metro to Petworth Metro Station on the Green Line. The station is three blocks north of the café. Or take Metrobus: Routes 64, 70 and 71. For the best bus from your area of town, view Metrobus routes*.

Future TAC meetings are scheduled for: May 10, June 14, July 12, August 9, September 13, October 11, November 8 and December 13, 2007.

Note: Tenant Advisory Council members are Joyce Hawkins (Ward 1); Ruth Connolly (Ward 2); Lisa Goldstein (Ward 3); Farah Fosse (Ward 4); Myrna Jolly (Ward 5); Robert Marshall (Ward 6); Connie Chic Smith (Ward 7); Tijwana U. Phillips Mincey (Ward 8); Kadesha Washington (Ward 8); and Andrew Critchfield (Ward 6 Alternate).
