DCRA Recruiting for Key Positions at Mayor Fenty's Citywide Job Fair on March 11

(Washington, DC) – The DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) is actively recruiting for talented and high-energy individuals for key positions in an exciting, fact-paced environment.

Interested job-seekers are encouraged to visit DCRA’s booth at Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s Spring 2008 Citywide Job Fair on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, from 11 am to 6 pm at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Whether it's issuing business licenses and special events permits, conducting inspections, enforcing building, housing, and safety codes, regulating land use and development, or providing consumer education and advocacy services, DCRA is improving the quality of life of residents, businesses, and visitors in the District of Columbia

“DCRA touches the lives of residents, businesses and visitors every day,” says DCRA Director Linda Argo. “Come join our great team and help work to make the District healthier and safer.”

Argo and her leadership team will be on hand at the Washington Convention Center to interview candidates and make provisional offers for positions in the Inspections Division, Permit Division, and Office of Zoning Administrator, among others.

Candidates should bring copies of their resumes and be prepared to interview. More than 120 exhibitors are expected to participate in the Mayor’s Citywide Job Fair, including both District and federal government agencies and private companies.

The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs protects the health, safety, economic interests, and quality of life of residents, businesses, and visitors in the District of Columbia by issuing licenses and permits, conducting inspections, enforcing building, housing, and safety codes, regulating land use and development, and providing consumer education and advocacy services.
