(Washington, DC) - Federal security officials have determined that vendors will be able to use propane and erect tents over their vending areas in the Inaugural Vending Zone on January 20, 2009. More information will be available on Monday, January 12. Tents 10 by 10 or smaller will not require an additional permit.
Load-in time and locations will be published here on January 14, 2009. Thank you for your patience as we work closely with federal and local authorities during this process.
Inaugural Vending Zone Site Recipients
Winners of the Inaugural Vending Zone Lotteries are posted below. Winners can come to DCRA to pick up their permits beginning Thursday, January 8, 2009.
Winners of the Inaugural Vending Zone lotteries will be required to pick-up their Inaugural Vending Zone Site Permit and pay the $100 site permit fee between January 7, 2009 and January 14, 2009 at DCRA, 941 North Capitol Street, NE, Suite 1100, Washington, DC 20002.
If you are an out-of-town vendor, we recognize it may be difficult to meet the above requirement. To meet your demand, we are allowing out-of-town vendors to submit payment for the Site Permit via mail using the Payment Form below.
The payment MUST be received by January 14, 2009. We strongly encourage anyone mailing in their payment to use an express service and request receipt confirmation. Again, payments must be received by January 14, 2009.
Vendors who submit their payment will be provided their permit upon arrival to their specified site. More information on vending zone entry points, load-in times and travel information will be posted on January 14, 2009.
Lottery Winners
Due to delays in the mail, several applications were not received before the lottery. However, these applicants were placed in the Inaugural Vending Zone. We will be updating this list if any other applications postmarked by December 30, 2009 are received.
