(Washington, DC) - The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) announces private trash haulers should complete their routes between 7 am and 3 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2009 and Monday, January 19, 2009 in areas around and near the National Mall and Downtown areas.

Private trash haulers will not be able to complete routes in or around the National Mall and downtown areas at anytime on January 20, 2009. Trash routes away from the Inaugural activities can be completed as normal.

The Ft. Totten trash transfer station will be closed on Sunday, January 18, 2009. The Benning Road transfer station will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2009. The Benning Road station will be open from 4 am to 2 pm on Monday and Tuesday. The Ft. Totten station will be open from 4 am to 3 pm on Monday and Tuesday.
