Use DCRA's Online Interactive Map to Locate Legal Fireworks Vendors

(Washington, DC) - The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) has posted an interactive map of all licensed and inspected firework stands for the 2009 Fourth of July holiday season. You can click on the locations to see the exact address and date of inspection. Each of these locations has also been inspected by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (DC Fire & EMS) for fire safety.

For more information on firework safety and the types of fireworks allowed to be sold and used in the District of Columbia, visit DC Fire & EMS Fireworks Information Center.

To report a suspected illegal firework vendor or a licensed vendor suspected of selling illegal fireworks, please call 911 immediately. Residents can also provide tips to the Metropolitan Police Department by calling Anonymous Tip Line: 1-888-919-CRIME or sending a text message to 50-411.

You can also print MPD's Fireworks Safety brochure* which provides information on illegal fireworks, how to report illegal fireworks, safety tips and contact information for your neighborhood.
