The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) will begin adding a 10 percent service enhancement fee on all business licenses, building permits and other services beginning June 1, 2010 to cover the costs of enhanced technological capabilities.
If you are paying for services at DCRA, the total will be added to your bill and can be paid at the Cashier. If you are mailing in your application, the 10 percent fee should be added to your total. For example, if you are applying for a General Business license, your payment should include:
