(Washington, DC) The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs will be closed on Monday, April 17 in observance of DC Emancipation Day.
On January 4, 2005, Mayor Anthony Williams signed legislation making April 16 Emancipation Day—an official public holiday in the District. Since April 16 falls on a Sunday this year, the official observance of Emancipation Day will be on Monday, April 17. All DCRA offices will close that day. DCRA will reopen for business on Tuesday, April 18 at 8:15 am.
