(Washington, DC) DC Mayor Anthony A. Williams will open the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs’ (DCRA) Homeowners Center on January 5, 2006. The event will occur at DCRA, located at 941 North Capitol Street NE, Suite 2102.
The Homeowners Center will be open to the public between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, to provide expert assistance to District homeowners seeking building permits for home improvement projects. The center aims to help homeowners by making their experience in obtaining a permit as convenient and efficient as possible.
The Homeowners Center’s expert staff will provide clear information about the permitting process and regulations, inform homeowners about the requirements of their specific projects, conduct plan reviews, and issue permits. In addition, the Homeowners Center includes the Permit Wizard, a user-friendly computer system that will make paperwork a snap.
