Firstly, DCRB would like to thank two outgoing Trustees for their many years of service to the Board.  Trustee Mary A. Collins and former Board Chairman Brian K. Lee were recognized at the January 15th Board meeting.  Additionally, DCRB would like to extend a warm welcome to the recently appointed and elected Trustees.  Joseph M. Bress, the new District Council Appointee, was also present at the January 15th Board meeting.  Deborah Hensley, the new Elected Active Teacher, and Edward C. Smith, the new Elected Active Firefighter, began their terms on January 28, 2009. 

At the monthly DCRB board meeting on February 19, 2009, all current Trustees were in attendance.  In the morning, the Trustees joined several members of the DCRB staff for a fiduciary responsibility and ethics training session, as DCRB strives to uphold high standards for fiduciaries.  Following the monthly Investment Committee meeting, the full Board held a meeting and elected new Board officers.  The positions for 2009 are as follows:

• Chairman of the Board: Darrick O. Ross 
• Secretary: George R. Suter 
• Treasurer: Joseph W. Clark
• Parliamentarian: Judith C. Marcus
• Sergeant at Arms: Lyle M. Blanchard
