The District of Columbia Taxicab Commission will hold a Special Commission Meeting to consider the Petition for Reinstatement of Anacostia Cab Association at 10 am on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. The meeting will be held in the Second Floor Community Room at the Frank D. Reeves Center, 2000 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009.

On January 24, 2012 the Commission issued a Cease and Desist Order to Anacostia Cab Association terminating their authority to operate a Taxicab company in the District of Columbia.  As a result, their color scheme was no longer recognized and any taxi operating under their name and color scheme was no longer permitted to operate in the District of Columbia.   Anacostia Cab Association has petitioned for reinstatement and will present its petition for consideration and detail its strides toward improvement of its service in the District of Columbia.
