The Taxi Commission, after a three-year hiatus, is preparing to resume the testing of applicants for the DC Taxicab Hack License. The Commission will administer the test to applicants’ numbering slightly more than 1,600. The scheduling of the exam and other logistical information, such dates, times and locations, will be mailed to each person who registered for the test last November 8, 2008 and November 15, 2008. Please be advised of the following:
- Cheating: Don't do it! Anyone caught cheating will be automatically disqualified! You forfeit everything and you will not receive a refund.
- Mailing Addresses: We will be using the address of record provided during registration in November of 2008. If you have moved since registration, go to your nearest Post Office and fill out an address change notice. The DC Taxicab Commission "is not" responsible for lost of misdirected mail.
- Test Materials: The District of Columbia Taxicab Commission will supply the test and pencils. Please do not bring cell phones, bags, extra papers, etc. with you on examination day.
- Tardiness: You must be on time on your scheduled exam day. Tardiness is unacceptable and may result in rescheduling of your exam.
- Time: You will have 90 minutes to complete the exam.
- The test will consist of 50 questions.
- Each applicant “must” have the ability to read and write English.
- You will be notified within 30 days of your exam date of the results of your test.
- If you successfully pass the exam, you will be notified of what you need to do to obtain your Hack License.
