(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the District Department of Public Works (DPW) are pleased to announce that the agencies this week released the 2007-2008 “District of Columbia Snow Guide.”
Copies of this informative and helpful brochure have been mailed to all of the District’s 280,000 households throughout all eight wards.
The tri-fold brochure provides an overview of the District’s snow deployment plan, emergency contact numbers and answers to frequently asked questions by residents during winter weather.
Highlights of the brochure include:
- A message from Mayor Adrian M. Fenty
- Overview of the District’s snow deployment plan
- Emergency contact numbers during winter weather
- Answers to Frequently Asked Questions such as “Who is responsible for clearing sidewalks?” and “Does the city plow alleys?”
- Photos of the District’s snow team in action
- An image of the District’s new “Snow Team Logo”
- A sample image of the District’s “Snow Emergency Route” parking sign

Additional copies of the brochure will be available for download in multiple languages including Spanish and Korean in December 2007.
