(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announces closures of the following traffic lanes and access ramps to install safety netting and to carry out other work as part of the repair of the deck of the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge.
- George Washington Parkway: Intermittent lane closures for approximately eight weeks, starting on Thursday, February 23, 2006.
- Ramp from eastbound Route 50 (Virginia) to the eastbound Roosevelt Bridge (Ramp C): Closed, from 10 pm, Friday, February 24, through 5 am, Monday, February 27, weather permitting.
Ramp from southbound George Washington Parkway to eastbound Roosevelt Bridge (Ramp F): closed, from 7 pm Friday, March 3, through 5 am Monday, March 6, weather permitting.
Drivers will be directed to the Memorial Bridge, with electronic message boards advising motorists of the closings and detour routes.
