(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host the 5th Annual National Capital Region Incident Management and Homeland Security Conference, January 5-6, 2006, at the Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW, Washington, DC. Online registration closes on December 31, 2005.
Organized in partnership with the Maryland State Highway Administration (MSHA) and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and respective public safety agencies, this year’s gathering is particularly timely because of the recent terrorist incidents across the globe and natural catastrophes in this country. Exhibitors will show and talk about the latest incident management equipment, vehicles, tools and techniques. Presenters will also discuss District, regional and national preparedness planning and the latest technology and communications equipment used in the Washington area.
Previous conferences have been held in Virginia and Maryland, as well as the District.
