(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announces that the DDOT online tracking and compliance system is live and ready to help Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) apply for and win DDOT contracts and be paid quickly for their work.
"We want to make it as easy as possible for disadvantaged businesses to know of and take advantage of contracting opportunities, comply with reporting mandates, get their questions answered quickly and be paid on time," said Dan Tangherlini, DDOT Director.
The system allows immediate access to DDOT Business Development Services, including help with invoicing and payment and contract compliance as well as information on how DBEs can use each other's services.
The online service allows contractors to:
-
Search for contracting opportunities
-
Apply for certification and re-certification
-
Check the status of an application
-
Find other DBEs for subcontracting opportunities
-
Obtain Civil Rights and EEO Information
The new service is monitored by Ronnie Edwards, (202) 671-2833, head of DDOT's Civil Rights/Contract Compliance Division.
The address is http://dbe.ddot.dc.gov/ and should be the first stop for all DBEs wanting to work with DDOT.
