DDOT Announces Ribbon-Cutting for The Georgetown Project

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is pleased to announce the ribbon-cutting with Mayor Anthony A. Williams, Councilmember Jack Evans and community and utility leaders to mark the completion of The Georgetown Project.

The Georgetown Project is the coordinated venture to replace the underground utility infrastructure and upgrade the streetscape along portions of Wisconsin Avenue and M Street, NW, in Georgetown. It is a joint effort of Pepco, Verizon, Washington Gas, the DC Water and Sewer Authority and DDOT. Flippo Construction Company of Forestville, MD, was the general contractor.
