DDOT & Metro to Present Findings of DC Neighborhood Circulation Study
Residents Invited to Review Proposed Transit Improvements

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) are inviting residents to review the preliminary findings of the DC Neighborhood Circulation Study. Four public meetings are scheduled in December where the agencies will present proposals to improve bus service and connectivity in the city. The potential improvements could include new WMATA bus lines, new DC Circulator buses, or changes to existing bus routes.

DDOT’s Mass Transit Administration (MTA) and WMATA are conducting the study to ensure all District neighborhoods have the proper surface transit service to support mobility and accessibility. The agencies held a first set of meetings across the city in September to solicit public input, and comments made by residents at those meetings were incorporated into the study.

The meetings will begin at 6:30 pm with an open house. The presentations will start at 7:00 pm.
