(Washington, DC) — District residents still have three (3) opportunities to attend an open house to discuss the city’s transit future, including streetcars. The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will complete its public outreach tour to all eight wards of the District this week with stops in Wards 8, 5 and 3. The first of the final open houses is in Ward 8 tonight at Savoy Elementary School, 2400 Shannon Place, SE.
DDOT has already initiated construction on two streetcar lines, including one in Anacostia, and the open house will give residents and businesses an opportunity to hear about the current progress and view updated plans for future streetcar lines and other exciting transportation investments across the District.
