Public Meeting on Reform of Emergency No Parking Signs

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites the public to a meeting on proposed changes* to when, where and how Emergency No Parking can be posted.

What Meeting to discuss changes to Emergency No Parking signs
Who
District Department of Transportation
Public Space Management Administration
When Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at 6 pm
Where
Reeves Center
2000 14th Street, NW
6th Floor/East Conference Room

Emergency No Parking signs are posted for many purposes, including utility and street repairs, loading of household furniture, weddings and funerals. However, the signs do not indicate the reason that parking is prohibited or whom to call for more information. DDOT proposes to print, number and issue Emergency No Parking signs that increase transparency and accountability and reduce the annoyance and frustrations of the current system. This meeting is part of DDOT’s continuing discussion of these proposals.
