The Council recently enacted emergency legislation providing the Mayor with new regulatory tools to protect residents and businesses near the Ballpark and Columbia Heights. See DC Act 17-320* which expires 90 days after March 19, 2008—the day Mayor Fenty signed it. Moreover, these regulations are intended to encourage transit use and responsible parking by visitors to these areas. Please see more online information about the Ballpark Pilot program.
