The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) in accordance with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 proposes a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) overall goal of 21.46 percent of which 15.46 percent will be race/gender conscious on all federal aid construction and non-construction contracts for FY 2009.

Records relative to statistical data collected and methodology used to determine the goal is on file for public inspection during normal business hours at 2000 14th Street, NW, 5th Floor, District Department of Transportation, Office of Integrity and Work Force Relations, Civil Rights Division Monday through Friday during normal business hours (8:15 am – 4:45 pm).

The Civil Rights Division will accept comments on the goal until the close of business on October 15, 2008. All comments should be submitted in writing to the attention of Francisco Edwin Gonzalez.

A public meeting will be held at the above address in the 6th Floor DPW Conference Room from 10 am – 12 noon on Thursday, September 25, 2008 to solicit comments regarding the establishment of the FY 2009 DBE overall goal. We encourage all interested parties to attend the forum to express their views.
