(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announces that starting today it will accept applications for Valet Parking Permits. The Valet Parking Permit Application* is available online. These permits are required for businesses that use public space to provide valet parking for their patrons, whether on a regular basis or on an occasional basis. The regulations authorizing these permits were published in the DC Register on June 26 2009*. Applications submitted by August 31, 2009 will be handled on an expedited basis. Information on Standard Valet Parking Permits* and Event Venue Valet Parking Permits* are available online as well.
DDOT, the Department of Public Works and the Metropolitan Police Department will share responsibility for enforcing violations of the Valet Parking Permit.
