DDOT Announces Chain Bridge Repair Work During Non-Rush Hours on December 5 and 6

Contact (Media Only): Erik Linden (202) 671-2004

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises motorists of upcoming work to repair a damaged railing on Chain Bridge in Northwest.

A single lane closure is necessary on the outbound side of the bridge to perform the work on the bridge. Travel will also be restricted to one of two available lanes in each direction on Clara Barton Parkway while working at Chain Bridge Road and Clara Barton Parkway. Field staff will facilitate the use of a single lane for both directions on Clara Barton Parkway.

The estimated two-day work duration is slated to begin December 5, 2006 and wrap up on December 6, 2006. Work hours will be between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm.
