(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announces the closure of the left two southbound lanes of traffic on the 14th Street Bridge starting on Wednesday, December 27, 2006.  The lanes will be closed daily from 8 pm to 5:30 am to facilitate the repair of the deck joint.

This work is estimated to take only three to four days, weather permitting.  Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when passing through the work zone.
