Contact (Media Only): Erik Linden (202) 671-2004

(Washington, DC) The District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises motorists of the temporary upcoming closure of the following access ramps as part of ongoing repair of the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Bridge.

Ramp D (westbound TR Bridge to Route 50 in Virginia) and Ramp E (westbound TR Bridge to northbound GW Parkway) will be closed at night from 8 pm to 5 am on the following dates, weather permitting:

  • Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 22
  • Monday, March 26 through Thursday March 30
  • Monday, April 2 through Thursday, April 5

The ramps will also be closed from 8 pm on Friday until 7 pm on Saturday on the following dates, weather permitting:

  • March 23 – 24
  • March 30 – 31
  • April 6 – 7

The year-long rehabilitation of the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Bridge is largely complete—with a few remaining repairs still in the works. The $6.9 million project consisted of a concrete deck overlay and repair of the bridge over the Potomac River.

Repairs include concrete repair to the deck surface, replacement of the existing joint assemblies at the abutments and other upgrades.
