DDOT Announces Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Off-Peak Ramp Closures

(Washington, DC) The District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises motorists of the closure of the following access ramps as part of ongoing repairs to the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge.

Ramp D (outbound TR Bridge to Route 50 in Virginia) and Ramp E (outbound TR Bridge to northbound GW Parkway) will be closed at night from 8 pm to 5 am on the following dates, weather permitting:

  • Monday, April 9 through Thursday, April 12
  • Monday, April 16 through Thursday April 19
  • Monday, April 23 through Thursday, April 26

The ramps will also be closed from 8 pm on Friday until 7 pm on Sunday on the following dates, weather permitting:

  • April 13 – 15
  • April 20 – 22
  • April 27  – 29

Ramp C (Route 50 in Virginia to inbound TR Bridge) will be closed at night from 8 pm to 5 am on the following dates, weather permitting:

  • Monday, April 9 through Thursday, April 12
  • Monday, April 16 through Thursday April 19

Ramp C will also be closed from 8 pm on Friday until 7 pm on Sunday on the following dates, weather permitting:

  • April 13 – 15
  • April 20 – 22

Note:  The ramp closures will be staggered. When ramps D and E are closed, Ramp C will remain open. When Ramp C is closed, Ramps D & E will remain open.

Ramp descriptions:  Ramp E connects the TR Bridge to the GW Parkway  (outbound); Ramp D connects the TR Bridge to Route 50 West (outbound) Ramp C connects Route 50 East to TR Bridge (inbound).
