DDOT Announces Road Construction Projects on the Horizon
Work in Three Locations Set to Begin April 30

(Washington, DC) Be advised that the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to begin roadway reconstruction in three locations on or about April 30.

Work is slated to begin on New Hampshire Avenue, NW, from 16th to 15th Streets, Florida Avenue, NW, from 15th Street to 9th Street, and 9th Street, NW, from Florida Avenue to T Street. Work start dates are weather permitting.

Locations:

  • New Hampshire Avenue, NW, from 16th to 15th Streets;
  • Florida Avenue, NW, from 15th to 9th Streets;
  • 9th Street, NW, from Florida Avenue to T Street, NW

The construction is expected to be completed in August 2007.

Reconstruction will involve roadway resurfacing, repairing existing sidewalks, repairs to alley entrances, repairing/replacing of wheelchair ramps, and repairing/replacing curbs.

DDOT advises motorists to travel with caution through the work zone and to be alert for minor delays related to roadwork.
