DDOT Announces Nighttime Resurfacing Work on I-395 and 14th Street

Contact (Media Only): Erik Linden (202) 671-2004

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises motorists, residents and visitors that on or around the night of Monday, April 30, 2007 the department will begin roadway resurfacing on inbound I-395—from the Rochambeau Memorial Bridge into 14th Street and up 14th Street to Constitution Avenue.

The work will be performed at night beginning at 8 pm and ending at 5 am daily. The work will begin at the bridge and work will proceed toward Constitution Avenue. Work is expected to last three to four weeks, weather permitting.

Vehicular and pedestrian traffic will remain open in both directions throughout construction but overnight lane restrictions will occur.

DDOT reminds motorists to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
